Abstract:
Using the gel of Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and Boric acid (H3BO3) as the fiber forming polymer, introducing the nano-scale CaCO3 particles into spinning solution, Polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)/CaCO3 hybrid hollow fiber membrane which has the interfacial micro-voids pore structure was prepared by the concentrated PTFE suspension. The gel mechanism of PVA and H3BO3 and the effects of CaCO3 on the properties and structure of hybrid hollow fiber membrane were investigated. By the morphology observation, the hollow fiber membrane obtained was a kind of homogenous membrane. The interfacial micro-voids were different with the node-fibril network produced by biaxial stretched method. The quantity and the pore size improved with the increasing draw ratio.
