Abstract:
This study focuses on the preparation of the membrane for separation of dimethyl carbonate(DMC) and CO2 system. Poly(ethylene imine) (PEI) was selected as carrier to transport CO2. Poly(vinyl alcohol) was used as a base material. In general, the flux for pure CO2 increases with the PEI content. Flux for the DMC/CO2 system increases with PEI content and the pressure difference. The separation factor changes much with the content of PEI, but little with pressure. At 20℃, 0.5MPa pressure difference, 40% of PEI content, and membrane thickness of 35μm, the separation factor is 36, and the flux is 4.8g / (m2h).
