Microwave Synthesis of NaA zeolite membrane of kaolin and its performance and characterization

Abstract:
This paper focuses on the microwave synthesis of NaA zeolite membrane of kaolin and its performance. The effect of the aluminum source, crystallization time and other aspects on the microwave synthesis of NaA zeolite membrane of kaolin was studied, and the performance of hydrothermal synthesis of NaA membrane and the microwave synthesis of NaA membrane was compared. Experimental results showed that the kaolin as raw materials of the NaA membrane compounds by microwave synthesis, the separation factor of pervaporation dehydration of ethanol is more than 10,000; Crystallization time of kaolin as raw materials in the microwave synthesis of NaA membrane was 15 min, 20 min and 25 min, respectively; the pervaporation flux from the 2.44 kg•m-2•h-1 decreased to 0.92 kg•m-2•h-1, and the separation factor increased from 2945 to 11846. When the crystallization time was 20 min, the separation factor and permeation flux were 10359 and 1.13 kg•m-2•h-1, respectively; At the same time,under the same formulation conditions, the reaction time for hydrothermal synthesis of NaA membrane and microwave synthesis of NaA membrane reduced from 20 min to 4h, and the separation factor increased from 5231 to 10360.
