Abstract:
Stainless steel hollow fiber membranes were prepared by using 25μm 316L stainless steel powder (SSP) as raw material, polyacrylonitrile(PAN) as polymer binder, N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc) as solvent and poly (vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) as additive. This paper discussed that the SSP content effected on the properties of stainless steel hollow fiber membranes such as shrinkage, micro-structure, density, porosity, the maximum pore size, mean pore size, pure water flux and mechanical strength. The properties of stainless steel hollow fiber membranes were characterized by bubble point, pure water flux, mechanical strength and other test methods. The experimental results showed that when the SSP concentration was 75wt%, the stainless steel hollow fiber membranes had better property. The maximum pore size, mean pore size, mechanical strength and pure water flux of 75% stainless steel hollow fiber membranes were 15.2 μm, 4.16 μm, 49.4 MPa and 35000 L?m-2?h-1?bar-1 respectively.
