Dynamics of Spontaneous Wetting of Polyvinylidene Fluoride/Polyethylene Terephthalate Composite Membrane

Abstract:
 The 3D droplet images were reconstructed by Matlab to calculate the average contact angles formed by diethanolamine (DEA) of different concentrations in the pores of polyvinylidene fluoride/polyethylene terephthalate (PVDF/PET) membrane. It is found that the average contact angle is very close to 90°. Combining the rewritten membrane wetting equation and the Matlab algorithm, the whole process of spontaneous wetting was simulated and the wetting transfer point of the composite membrane was found. Through the results of simulations and experimental results, the entire wetting process of the composite membrane was analyzed and summarized.
