Abstract:
  Ammonium persulfate was used as the oxidant to improve the polymerization of dopamine in this paper. And the mono-valent ion selective cation exchange membrane was prepared by layer-by-layer self-assembly of dopamine and polyethyleneimine. The effect of ammonium persulfate on the oxidation process of dopamine polymerization and the effect of modified layers number on the membrane performance were investigated. The results show that ammonium persulfate could accelerate the oxidation process obviously and has little effect on the membrane selectivity. When the number of modified layers is 5, the composite membrane has higher selectivity to Mg2+ and Na+ (p(Na+/Mg2+)=6.92), and the membrane surface resistance was lower (R(Na+=3.36Ω·cm2) ).
