Hybrid carbon membranes were prepared using polyimide as precursor and NaY type zeolite as dopant via membrane formation and carbonization. The structure and property of membrane samples were characterized by scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis and infrared spectroscopy. The influences of dopant amount, permeation temperature and permeation pressure on the structure or gas separation performance of carbon membrane were investigated. The results show that the hybrid carbon membrane shows increased permeability at the premise of keeping high O2/N2 selectivity, as compared with pure carbon membrane. Meanwhile, the permeability increases with elevating the zeolite content in membrane. When hybrid carbon membrane were prepared by the carbonization temperature of 650℃ and zeolite content of 0.5%, the O2 permeability reaches to 79.5 Barrer, together with O2/N2 selectivity of 7.5.
