Abstract:
Abstract: The ceramic membrane process often involves salt-bearing system, which is effected significantly by the salt concentration. The ceramic membrane filtration process of sodium chloride aqueous solution with different concentrations under different temperatures is studied. Experimental results show that the effect of salt concentration on the membrane flux is very significant; the correlation of flux with salt concentration is the same for ceramic membranes with different pore size. The empirical formula of viscosity of the sodium chloride solution on temperature and concentration was introduced to the Darcy law, the calculated results show that the main reason of the influence on membrane flux is salt solution viscosity, the predicted values fit the experimental values well, with an error in 10%.
