Abstract:
Monodisperse microcapsule membranes are getting more and more attentions because of their numerous advantages in the field of controlled release. The microfluidic technique provides a novel solid method for generating monodisperse microcapsule membranes. The recent progresses of fabrications of monodisperse microcapsule membranes using microfluidic techniques were reviewed. Especially, the microfluidic preparations of monodisperse microcapsules with ethyl cellulose membranes, chitosan membranes, alginate membranes, poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)-based thermo-responsive membranes and ion-recognizable membranes were introduced.
