Abstract:
The crystallization behavior of a PVDF homopolymer and a copolymer from VDF and hexafluoropropylene were studied, and the effect of copolymerized hexafluoropropylene on the crystallization behavior of PVDF was investigated. The results indicated that both the homopolymer and copolymer formed α-crystals with spherulite structures. The crystallization (melting) temperature, equilibrium melting point and crystallinity of the copolymer are lower compared to the homopolymer. During isothermal crystallization process of the polymers, the crystallization rate decreased as the crystallization temperature increased. At the same supercooling degree, the crystallization rate of the copolymer was lower than the homopolymer
