Abstract:
  A new method to remove NO from flue gas with cobalt methionine solution in hollow fiber membrane contactor was developed. The effects of flow velocity and concentration of NO, temperature, pH value and flow velocity of cobalt methionine solution, as well as SO2 concentration on NO removal efficiency and overall mass transfer coefficient were investigated. Experimental results show that NO removal efficiency can be reached 98% and can be maintained as high as 80% for more than 2 h, when inlet NO flow velocity is 0.027 m·s-1 with concentration of  626 mg·m-3 and absorbent pH is 8 with flow velocity of 4.28×10-6 m·s-1 at 50°C.  Meanwhile, the mass transfer coefficient is  about 1.95×10-5 m·s-1 under the same operation conditions. In addition, the coexsited SO2 in flue gas has no obvious influence on NO removal and can be completely removed at the same time.
