Abstract:
 Composite nanofiltration membrane was prepared through interfacial polymerization using N,N’-bis(3-aminopropyl)methylamine and trimesoyl chloride as monomers. The obtained membrane possesses the characteristics ofpositively charged nanofiltration membrane, whose rejection to inorganic salt decreases in order of MgCl2 >CaCl2>MgSO4>NaCl>Na2SO4. The structures of obtained membrane were characterized using scanning electron microscope, atomic force microscope and attenuated total reflection infrared spectrometer. The surface charge character was evaluated throughZETApotential meter. The surface hydrophilia was estimated using contact angle meter. The hardness removal application of this nanofiltration membrane was also tested.
