Influence studies of EDTA on removal of cadmium ions by nanofiltration

Abstract:
 Ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid(EDTA) was chosen as the complexing agent to study the enhanced effects of nanofiltration for the removal of cadmium from soil acidic leachate. The effects of pH ,concentration of EDTA and applied pressure on cadmium ion rejection were examined in complexation nanofiltration, and simultaneously its process conditions were optimized by orthogonal experimental design. The results showed that the cadmium ions rejection and the permeate flux increased obviously with the present of EDTA in nanofiltration process. In addition, this paper obtained the best operating conditions of complexation nanofiltration.
