Abstract:
 In this study, we focus on the combination technique of membrane gas absorption (MGA) and ammonia desulfurization which were applied in the coal chemical waste gas treatment. A self-designed membrane absorption tower was employed in the experiment. Desulfurization efficiency, ammonia escape amount, the composition and purity of the absorption liquid were investigated in this process. 85~100m3/h feed gas was treated and the inflow SO2 concentration was 1500~3500mg/m3. The experiment results showed that the desulfurization efficiency was far below the national standard of SO2 emission and the ammonia escape amount was below 10mg/m3. Meanwhile, the ammonium sulfate solution has high grade purity which indicates the by-product a good potential economic value. The results of this study implied that the combination technique could be an upgrade or alternative of the traditional ammonia desulfurization process.
