Abstract: In this paper, PVDF-CTFE/g-C3N4 mixed matrix membranes were successfully prepared by non-solvent induced phase separation (NIPS) method using PVDF-CTFE as membrane-forming polymer, DMF as solvent, PVP as porogen, and self-made photocatalyst g-C3N4 as catalytically modified particles. The effects of different amount of modified particles on the structure and properties of mixed matrix membranes were studied. The results showed that the addition of g-C3N4 increased the hydrophilic properties, permeability, mechanical properties and ultrafiltration separation performance of PVDF-CTFE membranes, and showed good anti-fouling ability. When the addition amount of g-C3N4 reached to 2wt.%, the flux recovery rate exceeded 80%, the pure water flux kept at 309.3 L/(m2·h), the ultrafiltration separation accuracy was 98.1%, and the tensile breaking strength was 3.8 MPa. In addition, due to the addition of g-C3N4, the PVDF-CTFE/g-C3N4 mixed matrix membrane could also catalyze the degradation of methylene blue dye (MB) by light, and the MB residual rate was as low as 22%.
