Abstract:
In fine chemical engineering, the operating and equipment investment costs from product concentration and purification, solvent recovery, catalyst recovery and so on, account for a high proportion of production costs. To significantly reduce the production cost, the newly developed organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN) can replace or couple distillation and other traditional processes, which is of great significance to the development of green technology in fine chemical engineering. This article reviewed the application and research progress of OSN in fine chemical engineering, including pharmaceutical industry, food engineering, recovery of homogeneous catalyst. The disadvantages of traditional separation processes and the obvious advantages of OSN were discussed for different separation tasks in each field. The typical OSN process and separation performance of commercial and laboratory self-made membranes were introduced. The problems faced by the OSN application research and the development prospect were analyzed.
