Abstract:
In order to alleviate the environmental problems caused by the increase of CO2 concentration, many capture technologies have been applied to the CO2 capture process. Membrane separation technology has received extensive attention due to its advantages of easy operation, high efficiency, and green environmental protection. Metal-organic framework (MOF)-based mixed-matrix membranes show great potential in CO2 separation due to their low cost and excellent separation performance. However, MOF-based mixed-matrix membranes still suffer from problems such as non-ideal morphology and single separation mechanism. This paper starts with the functionalization of MOF, and summarizes the strategies for regulating the physical microenvironment, chemical microenvironment, and synergistically regulating the physical and chemical microenvironment, mainly including changing the morphology and size of MOF, adding a third component, and other functional strategies. Finally, the challenges of physical and chemical microenvironment regulation strategies in the process of membrane separation of CO2 are proposed, and the development of gas membrane separation technology in the future is prospected.
